Not long ago, we had some very special visitors — thanks to Rachel, who brought in her lovely pets for everyone to meet.
The children were introduced to her two friendly guinea pigs, Cookie and Rolo, as well as a gecko and an opal corn snake called Mush. There was lots of excitement as everyone got a closer look at the different animals.
Rachel explained what each animal eats, and the children were especially interested in the grasshoppers that the gecko snacks on! They asked lots of great questions and enjoyed chatting about their favourite animals.
Everyone had the chance to gently hold or stroke the animals if they wanted to, and they did a great job being calm and gentle. It was a fun and memorable experience, with plenty of smiles and curiosity all around.
