The children spent time in our nursery garden planting carrot seeds. We are lucky to have several raised beds for children to enjoy gardening and we have grown onions, potatoes, green beans, peas, courgettes and a selection of herbs. The children love to take the produce to Hazel in the kitchen and as part of our healthy eating policy, its great that they see how vegetables grow and then enjoy eating them. The herbs make play dough and water play a sensory experience as well as being a tasty addition to meals.
