Bumblebees had great fun in the mud kitchen! Using soil, flowers, twigs and herbs they followed recipes using maths and literacy as well as imagination. Using natural materials teaches children a respect for nature and helps them learn how things grow. Being outside in the fresh air is beneficial to their health. Talking about what they are doing encourages language development and aids conversation with peers and adults. Above all, it’s great fun!
