“Nursery Rhymes Newsletter – Summer Term Two”

Wow – what an amazing end to the academic year!
The learning across nursery has been truly outstanding – from marvellous maths to imaginative play, the creativity and curiosity shown by the children has been so inspiring. A huge thank you goes out to our wonderful staff team for their awe-inspiring and engaging learning environments that continue to spark joy and wonder in every corner of the nursery.

This term, we’ve had the pleasure of welcoming Coach Cam from the Giants, who ran brilliant mini sports workshops with the children, and Laura from Mini Boffins, who brought the world of science to life in fun and exciting ways. Our visit to Astley Grange Nursing Home with Mini Movers was heart-warming – we had a fantastic time connecting with residents and making special new friends.

As the term comes to a close, we say a fond farewell to Becca, our amazing Pre-school Senior, who will be moving to Birkbees over the summer. We thank Becca for all her hard work and dedication over the years and wish her the very best in her exciting new adventure.

Caterpillar – Swamps, Spas & Squishy Play

Our little Caterpillars have been having so much fun exploring through natural sensory play!

We created a dinosaur swamp using Okra – the babies loved squishing, squeezing, and splashing through the green gooey textures. In our mud kitchen, we added refreshing citrus fruits like grapefruits, lemons, and limes – stimulating all the senses with zesty smells and vibrant colours.

One of our favourite moments was a relaxing spa morning! The babies enjoyed bubbly water play and even had cool cucumber slices to soothe and explore – it was a truly calming experience for our tiniest learners.

It’s been a season full of textures, giggles, and gentle exploration!

Tweenies – Growing minds, healthy bodies

Our Tweenies have been very busy little learners this term!

We’ve been exploring the growth of plants, looking closely at how they grow and learning all about roots and what they do. The children loved getting hands-on with soil, seeds, and watering – such curious gardeners in the making!

We also took part in the “Healthy Body, Happy Me” focus – learning about healthy foods, tasting new flavours, and talking about what helps our bodies grow strong. There were plenty of opportunities to stay active and engaged, with lots of movement, dancing, and outdoor fun.

It’s been a term full of exploration, learning, and smiles!

Pre-school: Exploring, Growing & Graduating

The Pre-school trip to Tropical World was out of this world! The children loved spotting all the fascinating creatures, big and small. We enjoyed a lovely nature walk, a group story time, and plenty of fun games together – it was a memorable day for all.

Our Graduation celebration was emotional and beautiful – a few tears were definitely shed! Thank you for allowing us to be part of your child’s incredible learning journey.
