Fixbees Day Care Newsletter – July 2025

Fixbees  Nursery – Summer Term Two

Summer has arrived, and we’re ready for a season full of sunshine, smiles, and special moments!

As the temperatures rise, please remember to bring sun cream and sun hats for your child to help keep them safe in the sun during outdoor play.

As we approach the end of the academic year, we want to say a huge thank you for your continued support, smiles, and encouragement. It’s been a joyful term full of learning, discovery, and celebration!

A special goodbye goes to our wonderful pre-school children who are now ready to take the next big step on their journey – starting school! We are so proud of everything they’ve achieved during their time with us and will miss their energy, laughter, and unique personalities.

Our graduation ceremony was a lovely event filled with happy memories, songs, and proud moments. Thank you to all the families who joined us to make it so special. We wish all our school leavers the very best of luck in their new adventure – you’ll always be part of our Fixbees family! 🎓💛

We’re delighted to welcome Alliyah and Shannon from our sister nursery, Nursery Rhymes, who will be joining the Fixbees team over the summer holidays. The children are already enjoying getting to know them, and we’re so happy to have them on board!

Our new term starts on Monday 8th September. We look forward to welcoming everyone back for a new season of learning and adventure!

📘 Home Learning  For All Rooms – My Summer Book of Adventures! ☀️

We’re excited to be sending home a special little book for your child to complete over the summer:
My Summer Book of Adventures!

This is a lovely way to help your child reflect, create, and share their summer experiences. You can:

  • Encourage them to draw pictures
  • Stick in photos or souvenirs
  • Or simply talk about their adventures while you help write or decorate the pages

Please bring the book back during the last week of August so we can celebrate everyone’s summer stories with their friends.

If you’re not in over the summer, feel free to bring it back in September.

We can’t wait to see what everyone gets up to! 🌈✏📷

Baby Room 👶 Baby Room News – Settling In & Sensory Fun! 🌈

We’ve been busy in the Baby Room welcoming our new children and helping everyone settle in. Building strong bonds has been our focus, with lots of music, singing, and gentle interactions to help the babies feel happy and secure.

The children have loved exploring a variety of sensory play, including squishy jelly, sparkly glittery gloop, and plenty of water play—perfect for the warmer weather! We’ve followed their interests by adding sea animals, practising filling and emptying, and even washing baby dolls in the water.

When the weather has allowed, we’ve also enjoyed lots of time playing outdoors, giving the babies plenty of space to move, explore, and enjoy the fresh air.

It’s been a wonderful start to the season, full of learning through play!

Family Learning Event – 👶 Baby Room  – Summer Fun!

📅 Wednesday 13th August, 10:00 – 11:00am

We’d love to invite our Baby Room families to join us for a Summer Fun family learning session!

Come along and enjoy a relaxed morning of seasonal activities with your child—there’ll be plenty of opportunities to play, explore, and make memories together.

We hope you can join us for this special time! 🌞💛

Tweenie Room Summer Fun with Communication & Imagination! 🏕

Over the summer, the Tweenie Room will be diving into exciting activities to support communication and language, personal, social and emotional development (PSED), and memory skills.

Our theme will focus on holidays and camping! The role play area will be transformed into a campsite where children can pretend to go on holiday—pitching tents, packing bags, and sharing stories about their adventures.

These fun, hands-on experiences will encourage children to:

  • Talk about their own holiday experiences
  • Use their imagination in role play
  • Build confidence in speaking and sharing ideas
  • Take turns and work together with friends

We’re looking forward to a summer full of learning, laughter, and lots of pretend play!
