Tweenies have been growing sunflowers since the spring term…
First they put some compost in a pot and then added the sunflower seeds… Some of the children put more than one seed in!!
They started growing them in nursery and encouraged the children to water them and look after their own sunflowers.
Once the sunflower started growing these were then sent home and we asked the parents to keep us updated on how big their sunflowers were growing..
It’s been lovely seeing the progress there sunflowers have made at home and some of these have even been planted into their grandparents gardens….
