The preschool rooms celebrated Fathers Day by inviting in to nursery the Daddy’s and grandfathers to join us for morning snack. We had sausage sandwiches and the parents/carers played with the children, so that they could see what their child does at nursery. It was a great success and lots turned up to help celebrate and enjoy the morning with their child.
Inviting parents into nursery helps build up relationships between home and nursery which are an important as “The bond between the child and their parents is the most critical influence on a child’s life. Parenting has a strong impact on a child’s educational development, behaviour, and mental health” By working closely with us to build on these positive relationships, we are able to provide opportunities for parents/carers to be fully involved in their child’s care, learning and education.
