Visit to the library

Today the children went to the library. Before we set off the children
showed some good listening as we talked about what the library is and
what you do at a library. Some of the children talked about their own
experiences of going to the library, listening to each other taking turns in
sharing their thoughts and experiences.
When the children got to the library, they all sat and looked at books and
listened to some stories. They then looked for some books on their
interests, one child looked for a book about lions and another child
wanted to look for a book about cars.It is crucial for children to develop
a life-long love of reading. Books can help build a foundation for igniting
children’s curiosity and enthusiasm for learning.
