Over the last few weeks we have been doing lots of activities in

preparation for Christmas.

At the beginning of December, we set a home learning task for
parents and children to do together. We asked for Salt Dough
decorations for our Christmas tree in the hallway. Lots of children

took part, our tree looks lovely.

In the rooms, we decorated the Christmas trees with the children
and put up decorations. Children helped to put baubles and tinsel on

the trees.

On the 4 th December, children enjoyed a delicious Christmas dinner.
They had party hats and table runners that they made with staff the

day before.

In Pre-school we began to learn about the Christmas story and baby
Jesus. We read books to the children such as ‘Room for a little one’

which explained the Christmas story.

Children in all rooms made Christmas cards and Calendars to take
home and have done lots of mark making with Christmas stencils.
Bumblebees and babies have had sensory activities with tinsel, ribbon

and other materials for children to explore.

Later in December, all rooms had a Christmas party with music and

dancing and we also had Christmas Jumper day.
