This term we have being looking at our senses, we decided to do food tasting and so we set up a variety of different fruits.
These fruits ranged in colour, texture and taste, practitioners set up the table invoke the children’s curiosity about the fruits on offer.
Each baby took turn’s exploring the fruits whole before trying a piece, staff used a wide range of describing words to explain their reactions and encourage their recognition of facial expression to word.
The children spent time feeling the fruit and smelling the fruit before eating it the fig’s were loved by all and some children asked for more.
