TRIPS & OUTINGS

This half term the children at nursery have visited the sikh temple for Diwali and the church for Christmas . We also made a visit to the pet shop to get fish for our nursery. We will be organizing other trips in the new year.

SPARE CLOTHES / CLOTHES FOR APPROPRIATE WEATHER

Please could we ask all parents/carers to bring in a change of clothes for their children as we have limited amount of spare clothes. Please use a small bag as there is limited space on the coat pegs. Please ensure your child is wearing appropriate footwear especially for outdoor play. We also would recommend you to bring appropriate outdoor clothing as the children play out in all weathers.

Our medication policy states that we are only able to administer calpol for up to 48 hours any other medication must be prescribed by your GP. Please complete the required paperwork when bringing medication into the setting and then sign on collection when picking up your child. We also require medication to be taken home when finished apart from long term medication, we are unable to store any medication that is not in use. Please see the medication policy for more information.

NO TOYS FROM HOME POLICY
Please can we remind you about our no toys from home policy, children have slowly started bringing toys into nursery again and we cannot be held responsible for the where about or care of these toys throughout the day

SHOW AND TELL
In Pre-school and Bluebells room if your child would like to bring a toy or their favourite item into nursery to show their friends they can do. Show and tell is the practice of showing something to an audience and telling them about it. We carry this activity out to teach young children the skills of public speaking.

DAYS OFF/HOLIDAYS
If your child is not going to be in nursery for the day, please could you let a member of staff know or telephone nursery first thing in the morning. If you wish to book holidays at half fees a holiday request form needs to be completed and submitted to the office at least four weeks in advance. If you do not inform anyone about your holiday then unfortunately you will still have to pay full fees. Holiday request forms are available in the entrance and office.
