About Our Nursery
Nestled in the heart of the community in Birkby, Birkbees opened in 2004 as a purpose built nursery. We provide a warm, welcoming environment. From the moment you arrive, our team’s hospitality leaves a lasting impression. Our staff prioritize building meaningful connections and are deeply committed to nurturing each child’s learning and well-being, offering individualized care that supports their growth every day.
With a strong emphasis on diversity, Birkbees celebrates the rich variety of cultures, religions, and traditions within our community. We actively incorporate these values into our curriculum, ensuring that children develop a broad understanding and appreciation of the world around them.
Our Facilities
Our spacious building features six rooms across two levels, designed to meet the developmental needs of children at different stages. We have lift access to our first floor in the main building. In our annexe building, we have two large rooms dedicated to sessions for our funded children. All of our rooms have direct access to our extensive outdoor facilities.
Our Curriculum
We offer a varied and exciting curriculum that keeps children engaged and promotes learning across all areas of development. Our program is designed to foster curiosity, creativity, and a love for learning, while also building essential skills like problem-solving, communication, and collaboration.
Our Team
Birkbees Group is proud to have a large, experienced staff team, many of whom have been with the company for many years. We are very proud that all our nurseries have excellent staff retention. The majority of our staff are local to the area, meaning they truly understand the needs of the community. We’re also fortunate to have a team who can support families in a variety of community languages, making everyone feel welcome and understood.
Our Community Engagement
As a recognised part of the community, we frequently engage with local parks, shops, and the library, reinforcing our commitment to connection. We also host regular family learning events that are always a hit with parents, extended families, and children alike, fostering a sense of belonging and shared learning.
