A Community That Cares

Birkbees is a vibrant and diverse purpose built nursery set in the heart of the community in Birkby.

The building houses six rooms for childcare on two levels. In our annexe building we have two floors consisting of two large rooms which house our breakfast, after school and holiday club as well as a morning session for funded three and four year olds.

We have a fantastic training room which is used for our annual staff training day as well as being offered to the local community for meetings and events.

We offer high quality care and learning in a well resourced, friendly environment. All rooms have direct access to the excellent outdoor facilities including a natural den building area, mud kitchen, climbing wall and a large growing and planting area.

We plan a varied and exciting curriculum to keep children engaged and promote learning in all areas of development.

We have a large, experienced staff team who have worked at the nursery for many years, most of whom are local to the setting so really understand the needs of the community. We are lucky to have many staff who are able to support families in community languages. We are well recognised in the community and can often be seen in the local parks, shops and library.

Our family learning events are always thoroughly enjoyed and well attended by our parents and extended families.
