Today, our Bumblebees had a refreshing and hands-on experience making their very own fresh fruit juice! Using juicy oranges and ripe tomatoes, the children explored the process of juicing from start to finish.
With great focus and enthusiasm, they used their hand-eye coordination to squeeze the fruit using manual juicers. Once the juice was ready, they carefully poured it into their own cups — a wonderful opportunity to develop fine motor skills and practice independence.
Throughout the activity, the children demonstrated fantastic communication and language skills, chatting about the textures, tastes, and colours of the fruits. It was a great example of learning through play, combining sensory exploration with practical life skills.
This activity also encouraged sustainable learning, showing the children where juice comes from and promoting a deeper appreciation for natural, healthy choices.
