OThe children have been looking at people who help us. Featuring different occupations, the children showed a strong interest in the fire fighters and fire engines. Throughout the week the children expanded their knowledge and understanding through different activities. We talked about safety around fire, safety clothes, using creative skills to make a fire engine using different materials and using available props to support role play. At the end of the week the children were able to confidently explain that fire men/ women have to use special clothes they put out fires using water and use a large fire engine with ladders to reach fires
