“The bond between the child and their parents is the most critical influence on a child’s life. Parenting has a strong impact on a child’s educational development, behaviour, and mental health”
By working closely with us to build on these positive relationships, we can provide opportunities for you to be fully involved in your child’s care, learning and education.
Your child's Key Person and the Nursery Manager are always willing to meet with you and discuss your child's progress or answer any concerns you may have. When you come to collect your child, a member of staff will tell you all about their day, activities, learning and achievements.
We actively encourage all parents and carers to sign up for our electronic learning journal which brings you closer to your child’s learning and development in nursery. Parent Zone allows you to see the observations, assessments and your child’s next steps from your smart devices and you can also upload images and observations of your own whenever it is convenient for you.
We hold Family leaning Events in each room half termly. These provide opportunities not only for parents but any family member, to come in and spend time learning in the nursery. We welcome everyone to these sessions. Recently the Pre-school have being doing all about Oliver’s Vegetables at their family learning session the children and parents helped cut up vegetables for soup highlighting all the many benefits they give us. There was also a vegetable plot to explore and so much more. We actively encourage parents and carers to develop a positive home learning environment for their child. We offer fun opportunities for you to be involved at home with your child’s development and learning by taking part in our competitions and using our home learning challenge sheets and sharing the home learning partnership sheet which is given out every half term. Here are some images of our autumn challenge and some children finishing their soup off at home!
