Babies Outdoors Adventure

The babies went on an autumn walk in the local area, as they walked through the community they talked about colours and filled up their autumn bags with treasures. The babies held hands with each other as the travelled along singing their songs side by side.

The teaching focus for this activity was to observe the natural environment and talk about textures.

The areas of the Early Years Foundation Stage that were met were, from understanding the world 8- 20 months:-Closely observes what animals, people and vehicles do.

Again from understanding the world 16-26 months:-Explores objects by linking together different approaches: shaking, hitting, looking, feeling, tasting, mouthing, pulling, turning and poking.

Personal Social and Emotional 16-26 months: - Responds to a few appropriate boundaries, with encouragement and support.
