The children have being learning about recycling we had the Kirklees recycling team to come into nursery and do a short activity. The activity was to sort through a selection of rubbish and place them in to the correct recycle boxes. The recycling team choose to use Green and Grey like the bins we have at home. This was then extended by talking about how and why we do recycling and the ways it help the environment. This was followed with a short video of watching our local Kirklees recycling unit of where and how recycling happens and the process. The pre-school children got really involved and were eager to learn. Information will be shared with parents to continue our recycling topic at home and we asked the children to go home and do some recycling and send us some picture of them doing it these pictures will follow soon.
