Tweenies have been looking at colour and how we mix and create colour,by colour mixing.

We looked at primary colours, we talked about the colours and their names an pointed out things in the room that were matching.

We spoke about other colours we couldn’t see and what colours we would like to make.

The children said they would like to make “Pink”, a member of the team asked the children “what colours would we use to make pink?”

The children studied for a while the different colours that were placed on the table for them to choose and then selected the red and the white.

The staff continued to encourage their predictions and colour choices, we also used a range of different texture’s to spice up our pictures and create wonder and awe.

They  were able to use one handed tools such as pipette’s and brushes, when colour mixing, this demonstrated good fine manipulative skills and listening and attention.
