Family Learning Event Blog

After half term we set up a family learning event which involved the parents coming into the nursery. This was a good opportunity to get together with the children’s parents. Inside we set up a few different activities such as playing with soft blocks, decorating a biscuit and then there were a few activities outside. Outside there were activities such as sand play, reading a book or going on the slides and bikes. The parents were able to see what the children can or would do throughout the day at the nursery. Once everyone came inside, the children and parents sat together and sang nursery rhymes together using different types of puppets. Overall the parents seemed to enjoy themselves and are happy with what activities their children can do at the nursery.
