Our theme is ‘People who help us’ and we have been teaching the children about all the different occupations and how they help us. We set a hospital and fire scene. The children have been using their imagination and first hand experiences to the role play with their peers in the different areas. They now know what number to call in case of an emergency and who to ask for which also falls under number recognition. The children have enjoyed dressing up, learning to give CPR and showing care and concern for others. A few of the children have said they want to grow up to be a police officer, fire man, doctors and nurses.
